Writing stories is something that I’ve always done naturally, whether it be me narrating my life to myself as I go through my day, and using fantasy to create scenarios for myself as a character in a lived experience, or I find myself sitting in front of an empty piece of paper with a pen in my hand. No matter what, there’s always a story occurring in my mind and heart as I breathe the air of the Earth each day. Discovering the guitar at the age of 14 gave me a new way to express these stories out loud and add emotional depth to them through musical harmonization and vocal delivery. This became where I found contentment and joy, in creating art pieces that told a story through verbal communication on the vehicle of expression through the avenue of music. To still be acknowledged and requested to share the pieces of art I have created, and still create, is nothing short of transcendent loving grace. This is my peace. This is what I set out to be. This is what I am. And I am that I am.
