Myrtle Beach Songwriters Festival takes over downtown Myrtle Beach, SC for November 13th - 14th, 2026. Rounds run back to back across every venue for seven straight hours, all of it free and open to the public. Daytime brings artist activities, video sessions and songwriter development workshops.
Which writer plays which room, and when, is published here as soon as it is locked. Venue assignments and round pairings are still being finalised.
What to expect
Songwriter rounds, not concerts
Artists play in rounds of one to three writers, about 75 minutes each, trading songs and the stories behind them.
Original music only
Every song you hear is written by the person singing it. No cover sets.
Free and open to the public
Every festival event is free. There is no ticket and no wristband — walk in, sit down, listen.
Walkable by design
All venues sit within walking distance of each other in downtown Myrtle Beach, so you can move between rounds on foot.
Professionally run rooms
Every venue is staffed with its own sound engineer and professional production, so the writing is what you hear.
Meet the writers
Artists sell merch and meet listeners at each venue after their round.
